The organizations are coming together for the love of baseball and our children.

National Family,

With just five weeks until Opening Day, we have extremely exciting news to share. This morning we announced that National Little League of Albany and Westland Hills will be official baseball partners this season!

This is a historic day for youth baseball in Albany.

Westland Hills and National have been hard at work throughout the winter collaborating on more than just prepping our players for the upcoming spring season. For several months, the leaders of both leagues have been discussing ways we can work more closely together for the benefit of the most kids. It has been a pleasure to watch both organizations come together for the love of baseball and our children, something they have both been doing for generations.

This is not a merger. Both leagues will continue to operate separately. But as you may know, we began to collaborate more closely during the pandemic, and we quickly realized that in many ways we can provide the kids we serve with a better experience by pooling our efforts. We also look forward to working with other leagues to expand this partnership in the future.

We will have more details to share soon about what this partnership will entail, but you can count on all the great things that make spring and summer at National’s ballpark one of the best places in Albany.

In the meantime, the most important steps you can take are:

  1. Make sure your player is registered!

  2. Make sure you are registered to coach. We are in significant need of volunteers, and we can’t run this league without you!

  3. Mark Opening Day, April 22, on your calendar!

Together with our friends, partners and classmates at Westland Hills, we look forward to making great memories together at both ballparks this season.

See you on Opening Day!
